Overview of Lafayette Catholic Service Centers, Inc

Lafayette Catholic Service Centers, Inc. established in 1973, is the parent organization for eight diocesan sponsored programs providing vital services to the poor and homeless of Acadiana. Programs located in the Lafayette area include the St. Joseph Diner, St. Joseph Shelter for Men, St. Joseph Transitional Housing Program, St. Michael Center for Veterans, Bishop O’Donnell Transitional Housing Program, and the Monsignor Sigur Service Center.  Programs located in Opelousas include the New Life Center and New Life Child Care Center.

LCSC’s mission is to provide human services, which reflect Gospel values and the Church’s commitment to preserve, enhance and support human life, with a special concern for the poor, hungry and the homeless of Acadiana.
