Here is the current St. Joseph Diner Shopping List:
  • Steel pads (for scrubbing pots!)
  • Big Tubs of Margarine
  • Bleach (The Kitchen gets a work-out serving 3 meals a day seven days a week, and this keeps it clean!)
  • Laundry Detergent (we have to wash the dish-towels and aprons)
  • Non-stick Cooking Spray
Can't afford to purchase items to donate?
  • Just save your plastic grocery bags! (We use about 100/week and I really do not want to have to buy those when there are so many reusable ones lurking in closets and under cabinets all over the city!)
  • Or clean out your freezer or pantry - We take cooked, perishable, and not perishable food items. We even take the extras from that big hunt or fish!

All these items can be dropped off at the Diner 7 days a week 6:30am-12:30pm or 2:30-5:30pm. If you purchase items to donate, save your grocery store receipt and we can provide you with a tax receipt for your donation.

Many blessings!

Each year St. Jospeh Diner distributes holiday food baskets, including turkeys and hams for holiday dinners to the poor of Acadiana. Please help us continue this tradition by donating hams and turkeys to the Diner this year!  Our goal is to collect enough to distribute 300 food baskets.
