 St. Michael Center for Veterans would appreciate a Christmas tree donation that can be used from year to year.  Also, a request to donate red, white and blue patriotic ornaments to decorate the tree.

Lafayette Catholic Service Centers was awarded $16,000 by the St. Thomas More junior class.  The funds were raised through the annual Hopefest event.

4/8/2011 Shelters of Hope
 Shelters of Hope tells the story of Courtney Chapman, a United States Veteran who found himself out of work and eventually homeless.  St. Michael Center for Veterans helped Courtney acquire a new job skill, while providing him a safe place to sleep each night.  After the invaluable support he received, Courtney is now employed and living on his own in Lafayette.
3/10/2011 Mark Your Calendars for Dimes for the Diner, Wednesday, May 4, 2011
 
Eat Out to End Hunger on Wednesday, May 4th at any of the participating restaurants for the 11th Annual Dimes for the Diner event supporting St. Joseph Diner.  The restaurants listed have agreed to donate 10% of their sales from May 4th.  Start making plans now for breakfast, lunch, and /or dinner.  In support of the diner: all you need to do is EAT OUT.

Eat Out to End Hunger during the 11th annual Dimes for the Diner event on Wednesday, May 4, 2011.  View a full list of participating restaurants and start making plans to eat out.  These restaurants will donate 10% of their sales on May 4th to support St. Joseph Diner.
